I’m not sure why they cast her in this role
Something about Lashana just didn’t click for me – I can’t quite put my finger on it. She wasn’t terrible, but she bugged me the whole time.

🙁 Eddie Redmayne absolutely nails the role of the killer, bringing a chilling, magnetic energy to the role. Redmayne’s mix of charm and menace is spot on , making the character both endearing and unsettling, as I said.
Overall, the film is intense and compelling
Her performance as the no-nonsense intelligence agent comes across as flat and a bit clichéd, lacking the depth you’d expect from a story like this in a film that thrives on detail and complexity. Redmayne’s incredible performance is worth checking out, even if Lynch’s lapses take away some of the impact.
